FIGURINES

Late in life Carks started a career that was far from his usual beat. For half a century he had worked with the Disney ducks in two-dimensional magazines and paintings, and now he attempted to work with them in genuine three-dimensional art! The many figurines Barks created for a short period of a few years were all meticulously drawn by him in numerous detailed drawings where the motif could be seen from many angles. A colossal undertaking, and the ensuing porcelain work - done by skilled craftsmen in different countries - ensured that Barks' ideas and visions were followed to the letter.
