There were many artists who drew the ducks in the same time period as Carl Barks. When Barks retired from his comic book work a lot of new artists took over. Some tried to draw in Barks' style. Some were better than others. And many disappeared after a few years.
Nowadays a handful of artists - who by their own admission are great admirers of Barks' work - continue to draw the ducks. This page will present a few examples of their work. You can judge for yourself just how close they come to the skills of The Master...

NB.: All stories in this multipager have a different coding system than the ones from Barks' era. Most of them were produced by Danish Egmont and the alphanumerical code always starts with a 'D'. Other codes start with 'I' for Italy, 'H' for Holland, and 'AR' (Another Rainbow), 'GEM' (Gemstone) and 'S' for the USA. The years shown in parenthesis indicate the first year of publication. The examples are listed in chronological order to enable you to follow the artist's progress.
