DON ROSA
Keno Don Hugo Rosa was
born in Kentucky, USA, in 1951. Just as his ideal, Carl Barks, he
is a gifted storyteller who has also taught himself the art of
drawing. In many of his stories - which are often connected to
the work of Barks - he uses a unique gimmick: the letters D.U.C.K.
are hidden somewhere in the splash panel. (D.U.C.K. stands for 'Dedicated
to Unca Carl from Keno').
Rosa's art is special in many ways. He normally puts more panels onto a page than
other artists, because he has such an abundance of ideas that
they would otherwise double the number of pages. While most
modern artists tell stories that take place today, Rosa's stories
usually take place in the
1950s.
