GYRO 1

This concept idea would most probably have been developed into a 4-pager starring Gyro Gearloose. His little helper - who was never officially named Little Helper despite the prevailing perception amongst many readers - is interestingly referred to as Bulby in this draft. Maybe Barks' secret name for the little stickman? Barks made a small sketch showing Bulby with a solar battery attached to his forehead (lightbulb).

The main plot is that of Bulby getting weak which causes Gyro to take him to a doctor to see what is the matter with him, but the doctor says he is not a 'goddam electrician' . Then Gyro invents a solar battery for Bulby and he is again fit to fight (literally according to the last line)...
