The term Game as in pastime, diversion, and amusement refers to a kind of activity that every man, woman, and child in the world knows about. The very word triggers pleasant memories and delightful anticipations on a number of levels. Of course, Carl Barks was also 'game' for diverse pastimes throughout his long life. During his childhood he undoubtedly played the same games as his friends, and as Barks became an artist he switched to the more sophisticated types of games that were often contained in his work. Take for example his knack for play on words in his stories, a type of sometimes almost injoke-ish character that he mastered (see examples HERE and HERE).

The sub-pages will present you to the 'playful' Barks in both professional and private settings, and you will experience how versatile he was in both roles. Just as we all have, Barks had more pastime interests - the sub-pages merely scratch the surface.
