THE BOOK

We are all familiar with the astonishing Junior Woodchucks' Guidebook which seem to contain all the world's knowledge. And it must indeed have had an enormous impact on the readers because Barks did in fact only use the book in a few stories. Here are most of them.

Scrooge buys all coins from a certain series just to keep one for himself. It will then be priceless. But when it is accidentally destroyed he sets out to find all the coins he had already dumped in the ocean. Naturally, the book turns out to be of great help...

Scrooge travels along with Donald and the nephews in order to find the fabulous philosopher's stone. The nephews must use the book repeatedly to solve the problems which arise during the search!

Donald is bending over backwards trying to help the JWs in their attempt to build a bridge in a contest.
This is the only story in which the book is used when the nephews are actually dressed as JWs.

Following some finds of gold on the moon everybody seeks to get there first - even the JW general. Scrooge learns that the nephews' book contains instructions on how to build a small moonrocket!

The animal-speech whistles comes to good use again as the nephews along with Scrooge and Donald travel to buy the Kaffir de Gaffir gold mine. The book rescues their uncles several times on the way...
