Huey,
Dewey and Louie spend quite a bit of their time in The Junior
Woodchucks, a movement similar to the Boy Scouts, but which is
apparently over and beyond the ordinary. It not only awards
titles and decorations in abundance, but it has also a guidebook
that seems to offer the answer to every possible question, and a
dog which is capable of managing all kinds of jobs.
The nephews' membership in the JW offers Barks an opportunity to
write stories from a more different point of view than usual.
Usually his stories star Donald and Scrooge, and the nephews are
usually supporting characters. In the JW stories the uncles are
usually secondary characters who are again and again are rescued
from hopeless situations.
