The year was a busy time for the couple. Carl was working hard on his stories, and so was Garé who was just learning the 'ropes' inking all the black areas, all the dialogue, as well as adding backgrounds to her husband's stories. Besides she tried to uphold her own painting work. No wonder that the couple took a day off outside the normal vacation season.
