SEARCH ENGINES

The web is more or less littered with search engines - some good, some bad - but they can all find material on Carl Barks if asked. Again, some will find a few links, others a broad variety. My distinct favourite is Google because it contains a lot of different features which is not 'standard equipment' on most other search engines. For instance can you search directly for pictures without having to look them up at the web sites first. Good service!
But of course Disney - and consequently Carl Barks - have a few search engines of their own, too. Here is a listing of the best all in English.

I.N.D.U.C.K.S.

Inducks is a world-wide database containing information about all Disney comic stories and their publications. The word Inducks is a combination of Index and Ducks. It was originally intended to be an abbreviation (I.N.D.U.C.K.S.) like the ranks in the Junior Woodchuck stories, but the people behind haven't figured out yet what it is supposed to mean...
The index store information of every comic, like publication date and contents. You will find information on every story - who wrote it, who drew it, the original title, which characters appear in it and so on. More than 30,000 titles are indexed and the number is growing from day to day.
Part of its strength is that many users can search directly in their own country's Inducks search engine:
