Originally, Barks drew 32
pages but he edited the story down to 28 pages.
Of the 4 pages only 1½ were inked, meaning that
Barks took out 2½ pages at a fairly early stage
of the production. The missing artwork was taken
out from various pages.
Barks recalls: ...
I had gotten a little repetitious with my stuff
... I don't think it was planned to be a longer
story, it was just that I got to looking at it
and decided I could put in stronger business...
All 4 pages were
later sold by Barks.
