From the day he retired Barks was in effect besieged by Chase Craig to make 'just one more story'. Eventually, Barks 'succumbed' to the letter bombardments and agreed to write and sketch a few Donald stories. This letter from Craig was the final one asking Barks to dream up 'just one more story'. But as you can see Craig would not give in so easily; he had already a new an intriguing idea - a small series of stories for a new magazine titled Huey, Louie, Dewey, Junior Woodchucks (HDL). The result was that Barks dreamed up two-dozenof stories over the next years...
