ADULT STORY

Calling Barks' story 'Go Slowly Sands of Time' an Adult Story does not do it full justice as it can also be read by children. But there are two reasons your editor has chosen to call it an Adult Story: it was first published in the elaborate 'Uncle Scrooge McDuck His Life and Times' book from 1981, and it incorporates 'forbidden' subjects in the Disney universe - mortality and death.
Barks wrote the very special story and furnished it with 12 large watercolour illustrations. Later the story was adapted for the comics when it was published in U$216 with standard comic book panels drawn by the Spanish artist Vicar.

Synopsis: Scrooge will not accept that he is mortal so he sets out with Donald and the nephews to find a rejuvenator. They manage to find a place where people live to be very old but what's their secret?
