Why
a whole page about pigs? Granted, this highly specialized subject
may at first seem a bit far-fetched, but it it is an excellent
example of the many different animal groups Barks placed in
his stories. An abundance of both real-looking and caricated
animals in different shapes populate his panels fulfilling a
multitude of purposes. Many of the pigs are in plain view -
many others are not so easily detected. This page will no
doubt show you that he drew far more than you recall!
So, this page consisting of just one animal group - loosely
divided into a mere 10 subgroups - has been created in order to
draw your attention to Barks' staggering versatility. It should
stand as a representative for many similar pages of such animals as
cows, goats and dogs. They are everywhere. You just have to look
for them...
