* Unfinished. Barks had the painting stored for many years (probably from the 1960s). It was never booked by him, but Garé mentioned it to a friend in 1990 ***.

*** The reason for placing it here is that Barks left several paintings unfinished in the 1950s and 1960s, some of which he worked on numerous times later 'as a sort of recreational escape from the tedium of painting ducks'. He went on to state that, eventually, there were so many layers of mountains, trees, and clouds that the paint would look like rhinoceros hide. None of the paintings were finished.
