DUMB BLONDES

The title solely refers to the popular-cultural stereotype label stating that attractive girls with blonde hair are more unintelligent and comical than other groups of girls. This is by no means the case with Barks' drawings (some of his 'blondes' are even brunettes), but his girls in this section are really blending in as archetypical examples. In fact, they could all have appeared in the Calgary EyeOpener, a girlie magazine that Barks worked for prior to his Disney years.
