Considering Donald Duck's overall role in the stories as always being plagued by changing luck, it is no surprise that many of Carl Barks' stories show how Donald is being exploited in a large and varied number of ways; he is often financially, mentally and physically exploited, and he is subdued, cheated and dared on a regular basis.
