JACK BRADBURY
1914-2004 |
John 'Jack' Morin Bradbury joined Disney's in 1934 as an in-betweener. He worked on several shorts and later he worked on Pinocchio, Fantasia (1940) and Bambi (1942). Then he briefly drew Bugs Bunny cartoons for Warner Bros, but he finally settled at Western in 1947. He was very productive and dabbled with almost every one of Disney's comic book characters but he never wrote any stories. Bradbury mastered a characteristic fine-line shadowing. His characters were usually drawn tall and thin and sometimes bow-legged. Failing eyesight forced him to retire in the 1970s.
