SCROOGE ATTACKS

  FC0495 'Water Tank Bin' - 1953

Synopsis:
Scrooge exchanges his coins into bills as they do not take up as much space. Then they are placed in a Beagle Boys-proof water tank. But is the money safe?

Comments:
Not with the Boys around! They manage to break loose the tank from its supporting legs and simply roll it along - with two kidnapped ducks inside. This proves fatal for the plan, because after they manage to free themselves they are able to make the money disappear into the night. So when the hopeful Boys open the tank the next morning they are 'greeted' by the police force...

  U$04 'Hawaiian Hideaway' - 1954

Synopsis:
Scrooge buys a volcanic island where he intends to hide his money. But The Beagle Boys learn about his plans!

Comments:
Apparently, the judicial system in Duckburg is extremely lenient towards hardened criminals, who destroy property, steal landmarks and kidnap people, because already the following year the Boys are at it again! This time they spy on Scrooge (disguised as robots!!!) in an attempt to find out, where his money is going to be hidden.

  U$23 The Strange Shipwrecks - 1958

Synopsis:
Scrooge's ships are mysteriously wrecked in Doomgurgle Straits and there is talk of a ghost. Donald and the nephews are looking into the matter...

Comments:
One would think that the Boys are afraid of honest work, but if they can benefit richly from it, they are not! In the foregoing story they were even on Scrooge's payroll!!! In this one they have already spent two full years working as honest lighthouse keepers...

  CP9 Christmas in Duckburg - 1958

Synopsis:
Two mistakes: Donald promises the nephews a Ferris wheel for Christmas. Scrooge promises the Duckburgians a huge Christmas tree. What to do?

Comments:
Two of the Boys are hired to sabotage Scrooge's Christmas tree. They disguise themselves as the French trappers Pierre and Alphonse, and in the dead of night they manage to diminish the height of the tree.

  U$31 All at Sea - 1960

Synopsis:
Scrooge sails home with a billion dollars in gold. But the Beagle Boys are following so he disguises the gold as corn. Now, beware of hungry rats!

Comments:
The Boys always seem to have the right tool or vehicle whenever needed. In this story they simply use their speedy luxury pirate lugger fully equipped with an impressive cannon. Where do they get the funds???

  U$37 Deep Down Doings - 1962

Synopsis:
Scrooge finds a chest of pearls beneath the sea but he is discovered by the Beagle Boys. He then tries to smuggle the pearls past the villains by attaching them to a school of salmon...

Comments:
Occasionally, the Boys satisfy themselves with relatively minor heists as in this case, where they are 'only' after a fortune in pearls which they plan to 'rob from Scrooge. But despite their combined efforts of trying to lay their hands on the pearls, Scrooge manages to foil the Boys. As usual, one may add...

  U$39 Tricky Experiment - 1962

Synopsis:
Scrooge keeps his money in a round tank and the Beagle Boys try to tow it away. But it is not that simple!

Comments:
Obviously, the Boys did not learn their lesson from FC0495 'Water Tank Bin', so here, 9 years later, they try to duplicate their trick of rolling off with Scrooge's money. Needless to say that Scrooge is in full control, this time using modern technology. The Boys are outwitted one again...

  U$41 The Status Seeker - 1963

Synopsis:
Scrooge longs to be part of the posh inner circles but he lacks the position. Then he remembers he owns the prestigious striped ruby. Where is it?

Comments:
Again, the Boys decide to rob Scrooge on open sea. They attempted to do so in U$31 All at Sea using their state-of-the-art boat, but this time they are hired to rob Scrooge of his ruby by a crook who equips them with a very effective spy vessel and a few helpful tracking devices.

  WDCS291 Delivery Dilemma - 1964

Synopsis:
Donald only wants his freedom but Scrooge forces him to work so he can enjoy a tycoon's endless pleasures. But those are not just around the corner...

Comments:
The Boys lure Scrooge to sign a contract in which he pledges to safely deliver a dozen wild rabbits eggs to King Yamhok on Taro Island. If he fails, he loses his entire fortune! In this story the Boys seem to own both a helicopter, a fighter plane, and a submarine, and they manage to disguise themselves in three entirely different ways.

  U$70 The Doom Diamond - 1967

Synopsis:
Scrooge decides to buy the biggest diamond in the world. What he doesn't know is that it brings bad luck to its owner...

Comments:
At sea again! This time the Boys aim to rob Scrooge of his new gotten diamond, when he transports it home on his special pirate-proof vessel. No problem! The Boys simply build a bigger vessel to do battle with Scrooge! But they lack some crucial gadgets that save the day for Scrooge...
