The very
word Valuable covers a lot of ground. Some things - such as a
piece of gold - can be easily assessed and priced, while others -
such as a family heirloom - may hold great sentimental value but
only to its owner.
Carl Barks' comic book stories are filled with thousands of
different kinds of valuables. They are everywhere. You can find
such diverse standard items as treasure maps, vintage cars, and
raffle tickets, supplemented by a great variety of special Barks
items such as a case of horseradish, mechanical horses, and
square eggs.
As such, it would be next to impossible to show even a
representative selection. Therefore you will only be presented
with a tiny fraction of the collection of valuables, namely
certain groups of items that everybody immediately connects with
money; precious metals, invaluable stones, and prized ornaments.
Or - in plain English - shiny things...
Important: The page has been loosely divided into three sub-pages covering the groups mentioned above. The groupings are by no means final - nor always absolutely correct - but only aim to offer you some directive as to what you may expect to find. Furthermore, you will only be presented to one of each distinct type of valuable in order not to overflow the pages.
