Carl Barks' Duckburg seems to be more than adequately supplied with inventors with highly successful ideas. We all know of the outstanding Gyro Gearloose with the truthful slogan Inventor of Everything, and from time to time we hear about Scrooge's scientist teams who produced an atom subtracter and indestructible glass. And we have witnessed individual inventors creating giant robots and titanic ants.
But these examples are merely scratching the surface! Duckburg also contains a vast number of unlikely inventors, i.e. characters from whom you would not normally expect great inventions. The most unlikely of them all is, no doubt, the usually bungling Beagle Boys, who are known to have produced a wide range of clever motorized devices such as a wall puncturer car, an attack boat, a razor-winged rocket, and a Paul Bunyan machine not to mention the powerful explosive Beaglemite. But we need not go further than to the Duck family who have made rather spectacular inventions throughout the years.
