This is a page about the Beagle Boys and the many tricks they used to perform their dastardly deeds. Carl Barks drew the Boys in 32 of his comic book stories, and in almost all of them they were seen using different kinds of tools for crime. Here is a selection.
THE DISGUISES | ||
Even when they are in their everyday clothes the Beagle Boys wear black masks which merely cover a small part of their faces. But in some strange way the masks still seem to protect them from the prying eye of the law, because the Boys are seldom recognized as criminals - despite the fact that they also flaunt their prison numbers on big wooden signs across their chests! The only Duckburgian who seems to have little trouble recognizing the villains is Scrooge. Thus the Beagle Boys have to turn to more clever disguises:

THE WEAPONS | ||
The Disney comic book moral code issued by Western Publishing was in full effect for most of the years that Barks worked for Western. The code consisted of a list of unwelcome and even forbidden subjects such as the showing of death, excessive violence, unnecessary pain, adult themes, sex, no showing of crooked lawmen and so forth. Weapons were considered unwelcome subjects and only allowed if they had relevance to the stories. Whether or not Barks complied to the code in regard to the showing and use of 'necessary' weaponry is an open question, but here is a collection of the Boys' potentially lethal arsenal...

THE TRANSPORTATION | ||
Despite the fact that the Boys are a band of bungling thieves unable to perform the easiest of jobs, they miraculously seem to have sufficient means to maintain a large fleet of different types of vehicles. Granted, they do have an income (they receive welfare checks in U$07 'The Cibola Story'), but this could not account for their many cars. Maybe they are successful in one area after all - car theft...

THE HELPERS | ||
Although there are a total of at least 36 Beagle Boys (according to a simple count of prison numbers throughout the stories) they do from time to time make use of helpers from the animal kingdom. Here are some examples:
