Many of Carl Barks' comic book stories had plots in which different types of maps and charts played an important part. And contrary to what you might think, only a few of the maps were treasure maps. Although many of the maps were placed in the background as mere ornaments, others were actively used by the ducks to further the storyline and Barks drew them for us to see. But there is at least one set of important maps the ducks talk about but which we never see; in U$20 City of Golden Roofs Scrooge reveals that he sold road maps to Marco Polo(!!!)

Two types of maps that are not dealt with in this page are the numerous attempts by fans to place the fictitious duck state of Calisota on the map of the USA, and the even more dedicated attempts to produce detailed maps of Duckburg based on Barks' and other artists' stories. You can see a small collection of those maps HERE.
