All
the characters in Carl Barks' duck universe are experts in their
own fields; Scrooge earns money, Grandma knows farming, Gladstone
finds valuables, Daisy knows fashion, Gyro creates inventions,
Magica masters magic, the nephews are perfect Junior Woodchucks,
Donald...
Donald!? What is Donald good at? Despite the fact that we have
seen him in more job situations than can be counted, he seldom
appeared as being on top of things. Granted, his role in the duck
universe is that of being somewhat of a symbol for all sorts of
people - their strengths and frailties - but, surely, there must
be more to him than just being a worker in the skunk oil factory
or slaving away in Scrooge's Money Bin polishing his money.
Here are some of the (rare) moments in which Donald not only holds a job but he actually executes highly qualified jobs that require lengthy education and expert skill. Maybe there is more to Donald than we know ...
