Carl
Barks drew so many different localities in his Duckburg that many
fans have attempted to draw maps of the entire town. But
surprisingly, Barks did not produce many illustrations of the
individual buildings, and when he did, he did not usually draw
them the same way he had drawn them before. Although he drew Donald
Duck's house, Gyro Gearloose's workshop and Grandma Duck's
farm, as well as the stadium, the airport, the harbour and the
Zoo many times, the places always looked different.
Below is a summary of nearly all the Duckburg buildings which
Barks drew in his comic book career. And, as you can see, there
are remarkably few...

building. The landmark of Duckburg... Scrooge's Money Bin. It was present in numerous stories, and - apart from minor variations - always DID look the same. It is, in more ways than one, the focal point of Duckburg. |
