Considering that Carl Barks drew more than
50,000 comic book panels in his life it should come as no
surprise that he made a few mistakes in his drawings. From time
to time he made both small and innocent - as well as large and
grave - errors in his duck stories. Some were of a more technical
nature, while others were factual, but he can easily be excused
because his production was so overwhelming.
This page, however, shows a few panels of another, more general
and amusing kind, namely examples where Barks was not as
attentive as he should have been and where he should have caught
and corrected his mistakes. But the questionable panels were
published for us all to see, and you are hereby invited to try to
find what is wrong in the selected panels. Barks did not catch
the errors and you may also have a hard time figuring them out.
Don't worry if you cannot find them; you are given the solutions...
