Evidently
one must expect some measure of repetition from even an artist
with such as fertile mind as Carl Barks. Having drawn over
50,000 single frames in the course of almost three decades, it is
unavoidable for the man to be 'caught' drawing a panel or two
which are nearly identical to ones made years before.
But this page is about a few instances when Barks produced
WHOLE stories that were more or less close copies of
previous ones! Later on he admitted that he stole from himself
but nevertheless the later versions of the same stories all
contain a variety of new and fine ideas. Here they are...
